Kyla’s Nursery

We wanted to keep things super simple for Kyla’s nursery with neutral, clean, calming tones. Thanks to the labor of love from my dear hubby, I was also able to get my brick accent wall. 🙂 The crib is the same one big sister used, and the corner shelf was made for me by my grandfather and now fits perfectly in her nursery. The only “new” additions include the adorable rail bumper for the crib from Etsy shop Custom Made Linens. A necessity after I learned the hard way with MacKenna about the joys of teething on the crib rail…

Pregnancy Journal & Bump Date: 38 Weeks

It’s Bump Day Week 38 and last night Ky and I pulled our first all-nighter. (Well, technically I did get 3 hours – yay! 😊)  Thanks to a brutal upper respiratory tract infection that I picked up as a souvenir this last week. Today we had our baby check-in and she is nearing 7 pounds 10 ounces and approximately the size of a baby watermelon 🍉 Side note: how rad is Mac and my mini shark 🦈 watermelon?!? It’s the little things that bring me joy & honestly a welcomed distraction from recent events! 😊 NO signs of active labor and…

Unexpected Third Trimester Curve Ball

I’ve been laying low for the past day getting my head wrapped around what unexpectedly came about on Thursday evening. In 100% transparency, we are still very much in the middle of figuring it all out. But I’ve been open about sharing our pregnancy journey thus far and want to continue to do so, and also thank those you who commented on my earlier post for your love and prayers. Pregnancy Journal & Bump Date: 37 Weeks

It’s Bump Day and in this final month, Ky & I have check-ups errrrrry week. Baby girl is STILL breech, but is growing, healthy, and looks super comfy in there and is approximately the size of Swiss chard. I have been asked repeatedly behind the scenes how am I doing. Thing is… mentally and emotionally I’m FEELING great! Happy, surprisingly energetic, optimistic that she’ll flip, and super grateful that Mike is home from deployment. That being said, I am in LOTS-O-Pain, friends. Sometimes so bad I can’t walk or my legs buckle. Not sure if its due to her position or because…

Island Mountain Glam Maternity Shoot

I had the privilege of getting to participate in this fun maternity shoot with the talented and fun Vanessa Hicks Photography  A “glam” session is not something I probably would have set up for myself, but I LOVE how it turned out, and it was fun to rock a Badgley Mischka gown from Rent the Runway which I thought was such a fun idea. I had always just looked for maternity dresses to buy never considering getting a gorgeous one rented in a larger size. Vanessa definitely worked her magic, was so super fun to work with and we had a…
