Kyla’s Nursery

We wanted to keep things super simple for Kyla’s nursery with neutral, clean, calming tones. Thanks to the labor of love from my dear hubby, I was also able to get my brick accent wall. 🙂

The crib is the same one big sister used, and the corner shelf was made for me by my grandfather and now fits perfectly in her nursery.

The only “new” additions include the adorable rail bumper for the crib from Etsy shop Custom Made Linens. A necessity after I learned the hard way with MacKenna about the joys of teething on the crib rail the first go around. It’s been repaired, but we decided to eliminate the temptation this time. Plus, I think it’s super cute.

I also made Ky some dream catchers with white feathers and seashells from beaches here in Hawaii as well as little vials of sand from a few of our favorite beaches here.

Really, other than the accent wall, we decorated with a few air plants, twinkle lights, and a white star lantern to match big sisters that we picked up here in Hawaii. We’ll also add some of our gorgeous prints from our maternity shoot.

The space is already one of my favorite places in the house to go unwind and relax. Since big sister Mac’s room is the larger of the two their Twinkle Teepee, books, and toys are in there and their playroom downstairs.

I am in love with this room. Its interior is very calming. Color combination complicates the entire interior. I wouldn’t want to change it, even when Kyle grows up.
