What would turning one be if you didn’t get to dive into a birthday cake?!? Being the health nut that I am, I searched for a more healthy way to let my baby girl enjoy some sweets on her special day. I ended up making her a reduced sugar pumkin applesauce cake, with reduced sugar cream cheese whipped frosting. She had no complaints and it turned out pretty yummy. Since it went over well, I’ll be posting the recipe to share soon. A couple shot without the frosting… 🙂

My little one celebrated her first birthday last week. We flew to AZ to have a very hungry caterpillar 1st birthday party with our friends and family. In the months leading up to today I would think of a far off distant day when my baby would be turning one.
