Mike + Rebekah: Carmel Valley & Carmel By the Sea

When we moved here to Monterey I was blessed to find some amazing friends. Rebekah and Mike are among them. Rebekah is a true Southern Belle, and her charisma lights up a room. Mike is hystarical and keeps everyone laughing. Together they are a dynamic and fun couple. We did a two part shoot, first meeting at a few wineries in Carmel Valley, and then headed to the Beach in Carmel by The Sea…did I mention we had their adorable furry family memebers along for the session. Amelia and Andy were well behaved and especially enjoyed the Beach!

Adri + Matt + Julia Point Lobos State Park

I can never get enough of shooting at this beautiful location, and when it’s with friends, it makes for an even more fun day. I met Adri and Matt when Mike and I were still dating and I visited him on the East Coast. Matt served with Mike at their last command and both are currently attending NPS for their Graduate Degrees. When we moved here to Monterey it was nice to know we already had friends in the area. I was thrilled to shoot their family photos, since their addition Julia entered the picture last Spring.

Charlotte + A Beautiful Family Shoot at Spanish Bay

Doing photography with kiddos has the ability to turn an ordinary day into an extraordinary one. Expecially when your subject is as adorable and loveable as this little cherub! Baby Charlotte woke from her nap and within moments was happy and giving me cute images so quickly I could barely catch them all. Her smile paired with those of her beautiful parents made for a wonderful shoot and fun day. We shot at their home and on location to Spanish Bay. The weather was uncharacteristically warm for Monterey in the Fall, but gave us some gorgeous blue skies.

Erica + Matt + Boys Point Lobos State Park

My dear friend Erica is an amazing woman. She has not only become one of my closest friends but has also mentored me as a military spouse. She is an amazing mama to her two boys and sometimes I swear she must have a clone running around, because there is nothing she doesn’t do. I had the privilage of taking their family photos at one of my favorite local treasures, the scenic Point Lobos State Park. I love taking pictures somewhere that has meaning to those in the shot. It adds something to the picture, allowing it tell their story. Especially for military families…

Fall Time 6 Month Shoot

I love taking pictures of kids. You never know what to expect. This little angel was so content the entire time. We did several images in her Halloween costume (which she wasn’t too enthusiastic about 😉 but despite that she was curious and happy, a great combination for getting great pictures. Being able to capture precious times while their little, and giving parents images to reflect upon for a lifetime gives me such joy. They’re only little once, enjoy it while it lasts.
