Vitamin-Packed Fudgy Pops

Fortunately for me, this crazy little sidekick of mine is on board with most of my clean & healthy food shenanigans. But I know that this isn’t the case for LOTS of my fellow mamas. Plus, I’m always on the lookout for quality ways to ensure that she gets the best nutrition and that snack time and “treats” are always in demand.

One of our favorites (yes, mama eats them too!) is these vitamin-packed fudge pops! They are super simple to make and using Daily Sunshine as a base allows me to sneak in an extra helping of veggies, fruits, and protein while disguised as a yummy treat.

INGREDIENTS:

EQUIPMENT:

DIRECTIONS:

  • Mix ingredients in a blender, pour into popsicle molds, and freeze.

So… What is Daily Sunshine?

  • It’s a premium, 3-in-1, healthy smoothie mix that was designed and formulated for kids.
  • It was designed to be the perfect solution for parents who struggle to get their kids to eat healthy, as well as to help adults who want a fast and easy snack that won’t sabotage their health and fitness goals.
  • It’s the equivalent of one full serving of fruits and vegetables, plus plant-based protein and healthy fats. Plus fiber, probiotics, antioxidants, and key nutrients that kids need to grow up healthy and adults need for a well-rounded diet.
  • Specifically made with “picky eaters” in mind, the taste definitely has my little one’s stamp of approval. (AND MINE… this stuff is flipping delicious and has become mommy’s afternoon snack too).

What’s in Daily Sunshine?

  • I’m not one to jump into supplements for my little one without doing my homework. So I love that Daily Sunshine is made with key whole-food based ingredients, fruits & veggies, which are carefully inspected and thoroughly washed. Then they’re pureed and strained to remove any unwanted stems or seeds, dried, and ground to a powder.
  • If you read the Daily Sunshine label (included below), you’ll see ingredients you can actually recognize. Not the usual stuff that’s in packaged snacks, like high-fructose corn syrup, large amounts saturated fat, and zero real nutrition.

Check out the ingredients:

  • Made with organic fruits and vegetables†
Apple, strawberry, acerola cherry, blueberry, banana††, sweet potato, spinach.
  • Made with organic pea protein – naturally dairy-free and a good source of protein for growing kids.
  • Healthy fats – ALA omega-3 fatty acids.
  • Formulated with fiber and probiotics – 3 grams of fiber and Bacillus coagulans to help support healthy digestion.
  • Calcium and vitamin D to help build strong bones.
  • Antioxidants – Vitamins C and E help fight free radical damage.

What’s NOT in Daily Sunshine?

  • No soy, no dairy, no gluten. Non-GMO. And no artificial flavors, sweeteners, or preservatives.

Why is Daily Sunshine different from other smoothies?

  • Many smoothies geared toward kids are full of unrecognizable ingredients, artificial flavors, and too much sugar. And they’re often made with either fruit, vegetables, OR protein.
  • Now you don’t have to make compromises when it comes to your family’s nutrition. You love the ingredients. And because Daily Sunshine tastes so good, kids love it. It doesn’t taste “healthy” but it really is!
  • Daily Sunshine also has 3 stamps of approval:
    1. Nutritionist developed
    2. Pediatrician-approved formula
    3. Kid-approved taste
So for us, this has become a super yummy staple in our home. If you want to check it out for yourself. Here’s where you can get yours!
