Pregnancy Journal & Bump Date: 26 Weeks

#26weekspregnant Bump Date🙌🏼 my favorite kind of hump day And today we got to see our baby girl at our check up!! She is now 2 POUNDS exactly and roughly the size of a head of lettuce.

She was an active little monkey this a.m. putting on a show for the Ultrasound. She is currently breech, but I’m confident that with as much as this little one likes to flip and flop she’ll be where she needs by her due date.

At this point most mamas are encouraged to get a glucose test to screen for gestational diabetes. As mamas it’s 

important to know WE HAVE OPTIONS that aren’t normally discussed as a standard care practice. But WE need to be our own best advocate, so I’m going to share a more healthful approach to doing your glucose test instead of downing the nasty and highly processed Glucola drink that most physicians will prescribe.

I’m share alternatives HERE about Glucose Tests and options. I’m very fortunate to be working with a doc that knows my lifestyle and is quite “in tune” with holistic health even though he is a traditionally trained MD, he is open to embracing my preferences.

For my workouts I’m still ACTIVE and doing 30 mins daily of varying cardio, HIIT, and resistance training. Wearing a belly band has helped SOOOOOO much with my low back discomfort.

Next week I’m kicking off my Spring For Summer Strong Challenge with a new custom calendar and also have 2 cleanses a 3 day and 3 week cleanse kicking off.

Never underestimate the burn 25 mins and a resistance band can bring. Today was Upper Body! 💪🏼 .

One of my favorite muscle groups to work 🙌🏼, and although I’m a fan of lifting heavy, I appreciate working in some band days with higher reps. .

Just because at #26weekspregnant my belly is ever expanding 🙈😂💞Doesn’t mean mama can’t have some toned guns 💪🏼 right?!? 😊 .

Bellies, Bands, and Bunzzzzzzz
Where are my weekend warriors at?!? 🙌🏼 today’s workout was all about the Lower Body and Bands. My resistance band and @baobeimaternity belly band, and to feel a little extra burn 🔥 I added 7 lb ankle weights. .

This is one of the workouts I’ll do on vacation too! Only 20 mins, you can throw you band in your bag and you don’t need much room,and it’s always a good time to throw in a Booty workout 😊🍑 .

May is a FULL month. I’m kicking leading a 3 day and 3 week “spring cleaning” cleanse next week, and my Spring Fit Summer Strong Challenge too. Definitely got my #Sweatingfortwo in today. As I approach my #3rdtrimester I’ve started transitioning back into more resistance training, instead of the cardio HIIT work that felt good through most of this second trimester. .

There has just been a noticeable shift in what my body is responding too, and feels good doing. IT’S SO IMPORTANT THAT WE PAY ATTENTION TO OUR BODIES CUES. .

Not only when you’re preggars and growing a baby, but at all stages. That’s why that as part of my online virtual gym and wellness studio I help match you up and coach you though over 400+ kinds of workouts that you can do from ANYWHERE no matter what you have going on in your body, your fitness level beginning to advanced, there is something FOR EVERYONE! .

It's a downpour ☔️💦here in Hawaii today, but we are bringing our own sunshine☀️& heat to the day 🙌🏼🔥 Cause just before bed last night we FINALLY got to FaceTime with my hubs #deployedlife 🙌🏼 .

Plus today I'm also wrapping up the last day of my Tone Your Tush workout calendar and am so stoked to release May's challenge!! .
