Pregnancy Journal & Bump Date: 33 Weeks

The “pineapples” of my eye 🍍😍 #33WeeksPregnant Bump Date. And as of this morning, big sister to be (Mac) and I learned at our ultrasound that baby Ky is 4 pounds 9 ounces and approximately the size of a pineapple🍍and on track to be about 7-8 pounds at 40 weeks (same as big sister was).

Baby girl is still breech, but we’ve been doing “spinning babies” for a little over a week, and are optimistic that she’ll be head down by “go time” Here’s hoping 🤞🏼 anyway.

Just last week we got some REALLY FANTASTIC news that I can’t yet share (even though I’m dying to), but let’s just say it’s going to be a really exciting week! 😊💞

I’ve been continuing my workouts at least 6 days a week with an active recovery day of hiking or paddle boarding. Although I must admit that I’m having to do A LOT more creative maneuvering and modifications for this lovely belly.🤰🏼😊 I’m preferring strength training at this later stage in the game. Nothing crazy heavy, but am loving feeling strong and having endurance.

Nutrition… I’m loving ALL THE EGGS and have been playing with getting creative with my veggies (see my zucchini tortilla recipe a few posts back? YUM) keeping things clean, but did indulge in some “specialty doughnuts” over last weekend, and Oi…  did I regret that decision!). The next day I was puffy and had awful brain fog! It’s wild when you clean up what you regularly eat from all the crap that most get used to consuming regularly how it affects you when you have even the smallest bit. I used to be a total sugar monster too, and now the aftermath is just not worth it.

As we’re in the final seven weeks of my being preggers, I will miss this bump and the feeling of my little one stirring inside me. After having a less than stellar experience being pregnant my first go around, it’s such a crazy shift to focus on the parts of this (or any) journey that you’re grateful for, instead of what’s “not so great” and to be clear there are parts I’m happy will be nearing an end soon. 😂

Primarily the round ligament and lower back discomfort that comes charging in at the end of the day, the sciatic pain that likes to just pop in and say hi from time to time, the CONSTANT pee breaks, but I must admit there have been far fewer negatives to this pregnancy (no swelling, no heartburn, no feeling of overrun exhaustion, no anxiety).

I know it has everything to do with my mindset first and how that led me to take such different and better care of my body with this second pregnancy.

I’m excited to see if or how it will effect the temperament of Ky too. I can’t believe it 7 weeks till she’s in my arms 💞😊 and we become a family of 4. Still a few spots open in my Rockin Your Bump group for you mamas that are wanting to have an active healthy pregnancy and the support that comes with it!! Making the Shift
Me and my sidekick(s) tried out a new workout today as we kicked off round two of my Rockin Your Bump Group .

At #33weekspregnant A LOT of modifications are being made these days, and low impact is the ONLY option. .

I’m finding it to be a fun challenge to maneuver around my growing belly, and am super greatful to have my “belly sports bra” 😂 from @baobeimaternity to provide some much needed support! 🙌🏼 I believe they just restocked and you can save 10% by using the code FITYOGI10 .

BTW how awesome are Mac’s “jumping jacks”?!?😂 She always cracks me up. I love this little monkey 🐒

Workouts sure look a lot different these days (and that’s OKAY) I’m just grateful to still be active at #33weekspregnant I hear lots of mamas criticized for being more active during pregnancy. Luckily while sharing my journey I’ve gotten lots of encouragement and support. THANK YOU! .

I wanted to be open, transparent, and share my journey because I believe in general there is a belief that pregnancy means that you should not be active. .

And while EACH PERSON, EACH BODY, and EACH PREGNANCY journey is different, if you were leading an active life before, maintaining an active pregnancy is healthy for you and your growing babe. .

Listening to your body and clearing activity with your provider is VITAL, and I can tell you first hand after doing yoga only and “taking it easy” with my first, this time around being more active and incorporating more strength training has made a night and day difference! .

Of coarse NUTRITION has also played a huge roll to, but I’ll save that for a different post!! If you need some help getting active during your pregnancy I have a great Rockin Your Bump Group where I support other Expecting mamas and provide workouts, nutrition guidance and more. Fill out my Free Pregnancy Health assessment to get more details, I’d love to have you join us and see more mamas be empowered to have a healthy active pregnancy!! 💞🤰🏼

Being #33weekspregnant (almost 34) still maintaining daily workouts has been an enlightening humbling experience (to say the least 😊)!. Each day my body changes.

And it’s been an ongoing lesson in grace and perseverance for sure. One I am actually grateful for, because it’s teaching me new ways to navigate and understand my body and mindset!

I am LOVING the vibe and connection with all the amazing ladies in my Rockin Your Bump Group who have decided to tackle pregnancy and all it’s ups and downs by learning to embrace their best health NOW.

Our community is all about commitment to learning better ways to Nourish, Move, and Love our bodies, during this amazing albeit exhausting/and sometimes confusing transition in our lives.

It’s so easy to get swept up in all the changes, not only when pregnancy but just LIFE in general.

I know a large part of my success in my journey to better health and more energetic living is because of COMMUNITY.

I definitely have the right tools, have dialed in nutrition, but also the support of others who are experiencing life too, but are willing to set the bar higher for themselves and share their journey though all of it is huge!!

It’s the piece that’s helped me stay committed until this way of living became a must for me and part of who I am.

Whether your expecting or not, I have my communities open to get you started and support you!! .
