Pregnancy Journal & Bump Date: 29 Weeks

29 week Bump Date 🙌🏼 and we got to see Kyla this week with our ultrasound. It was a week early, since I had to go in for my Rhogam Injection. Any other Rh negative mamas out there? This was new for me since with my first it wasn’t necessary.

Ky is currently 2 pounds 14 ounces and approximately the size of a butternut squash 😳. Crazy how fast she seems to be growing.

She is still breech, but my doc isn’t concerned with her flipping until 35-37weeks. So we have some time, but maybe I’ll play with some yoga inversions between now and then to see if I can help my girl out. 😂I’m still working out daily, but have noticed a BIG change in my range of motion and certain “accommodations” that need to be made.

Mostly that I need to negotiate space and modify lots in certain moves, that the support of my belly band helps A LOT, sitting down to put on my shoes is a MUST,  and that frequent pee breaks are necessary during workouts, and really ALL DAY LONG. Haha

Energy-wise, I’m thankful to be keeping up with Mac and feeing great! Starting to get the “nesting” itch and am starting to put together the nursery, which is fun.  But this time around, I’m feeling the need to keep things super simple and just clean looking. Minimalism style.At this point with my first I had a baby shower, but being that this is our second and we’re so far from most friends and family, I don’t think we’ll be having one for Ky. Did you do a shower for your second pregnancy?

My reason… not my excuse
“Children are great imitators, so give them something great to imitate!” .

If you caught my earlier post you saw that today I had a “plan” for my Monday that went wrong AT EVERY POSSIBLE TURN, so I had a choice… to do my best to stay positive and turn things around FOCUSING on the good OR throw in the towel and say this day is a wash, I’ll just try again tomorrow. .

But see, I have this little mini sidekick here that watches every move I make and how I handle stress or the unexpected stuff life dishes up . .

So when we finally made it home and I was tired, I didn’t just make an excuse to NOT do my workout, I made it my mission to change my energy and make it happen! Because despite everything else, this WAS in my control. .

The result? Not only did I have fun having her join me, and now I FEEL worlds better, but I’ve also reinforced how we get through stress in a healthy way. .

Mom life is full of it’s challenges and unexpected detours. Cheers to all you mamas out there putting in the work to be the example you hope they want live up to! .

Unrelated SIDENOTE… not sure @lululemon Designed these Align leggings with preggo mamas in mind, but OMG if they are not THE most comfortable things to wear!! I highly recommend them for my fellow preggo mamas!!

Even though today was CRAZY busy I was sure to fit in 20 mins of one of my favorite Isometric workouts. .

Another reason I love having access to over 400 workouts at home, so that hectic mom life doesn’t become my excuse to not take care of myself. .

And just for all my fellow expectant mamas I’ve been working on something super special just for you!! .

I’ll be sharing all the best workouts that I’ve personally done in my first & second trimester, and will continue to share what’s working in my third. .
